So this week we saw Marni’s launch in the high street retailer H&M. The quirky, raw, Italian style sold at affordable prices, were snatched up within hours, in fact the collection sold out in half a day, many of the pieces are being sold at twice the price online.
Many of the peices have real a real catwalk look to them, the tie on collars which were seen all through Chanel’s new Spring collection in a silk floral pattern which are absolutely stunning. Luckily, i can get my collars from TopShop!
The Highstreet retailer has collaborated with other designer names over the last few years such as Versace last year and Jimmy Choo in 2009. I was mistakingly in the H&M store in Oxford street when Jimmy Choo launched their collection. The Queue was out the door and up three floors, i was just in shock at how big the demand was.
Despite the very civilised wristband system implemented by H&M, the Marni collection sold out by lunchtime as predicted and - apart from a few customer returns over the coming days and weeks - disappointed shoppers’ only answer to get hold of the pieces they want will be eBay.
Below are some of the peices:
£79.99 on eBay for over £125.99

These collars really grabbed my attention, they come in black and white both with a scale like sequin design and were £19.99 they are going for over £40-50 online.
